Sunday 18th August - Riggindale Crag/High Street/Mardale Ill Bell
And the show goes on!  Our next walk will begin on the shores of Haweswater at Mardale Head and promises to be a lovely one.  It is classified as a hard walk with some steep ascents early on, climbing 637 metres total, with a distance of 6 miles.  There will be an easier walk for those who prefer a more gentle stroll, route to be announced.  We will be walking in the vicinity of Riggindale Ridge where the last pair of nesting Golden Eagles in England have their home.  Bring your binoculars!  Maybe we will be lucky and spot them!
We'll meet at 10:30 at the Mardale Head car park (NY469107 on the OS map -- or approx postcode LA8 9JN).  The walk should take about 4 hours total, which leaves time to go for a cuppa afterward.
If you are coming, and/or if you have any questions, please email Ashley at awenzen@gmail.com .
