Place Fell, Patterdale on Sunday June 12th

Our Group walk in June is Place Fell from Patterdale - please see the attachment for details. This is not one of the "major" Fells, being relatively low but the quality of the surrounding country, the beautiful views and the exquisite walk back above the lake make it a wonderful day out. Any one who wishes to conserve their energy for the ups and downs of the homeward lakeside path can reduce the total climb by walking up to Boredale Hause from Patterdale but avoid Place Fell itself and take the valley path from Boredale Hause to Sandwick, by the lakeside, where we will all meet up again.
Travelling time is approximately 1 hour from Throssel; and from Lancaster and 1hr 50 mins from Newcastle.
We will be leaving from the pay and display car park mentioned in the attached description at 10.30 - hope to se lots of people there!
As always, it is good to share lifts ( I can offer 3 seats in my car if people e mail me via the googlegroup)
