High Cup Nick from Dufton Sunday May 22nd 2011

A circular walk beginning in the village of Dufton will take us into high, wild moorland country and along the Pennine Way to the one of the most spectacular landscape features in England - High Cup Nick.
A total distance of 10 miles along a mixture of good tracks and open moorland opens up great views of the Lake District but involves no steep climbs. At times it may be rough and wet underfoot so stout boots are recommended - as always.
Dufton is approximately 1 hours drive from Throssel; 30 minutes from Penrith and an hour from Lancaster and can be reached either from the A66 at Appleby in Westmoreland or by following minor roads from Melmerby. There is parking in the centre of Dufton , Post code CA16 6DE and we will aim to leave promptly at 10.30 as usual.
Can anyone who intends to come and who needs or can offer a car share please let me know - or e mail the google group if you are subscribed
Hope to see everyone on the 22nd!
