The ascent of Northumberland's highest hill seems a fitting climax to the year and we aim to make that ascent this month's "Challenging" walk. In a change from normal procedure we are going to leave a decision on the actual route until the day itself - because it is so dependant on weather and road conditions. All we know at this point is that we will be starting earlier than normal, so as to make best use of the day light. If you are interested and want to know more please contact me, Jenny, through e mail and we can discuss details.

As we have never done a coastal walk I am going to suggest that for the other walk - how about Druridge Bay, taking in the wonderful winter bird watching at Druridge Pools and Low Hauxley? There is plenty of free parking at Druridge Bay and the walk can be extended as far as you wish . meet at the entrance to Druridge Bay Nature Reserve at 11.00  and bring a picnic!
Again, if you are interested please let me know .
